I’ve switched over to Fedora and I absolutely love it. But I have one issue I haven’t been able to solve. Before I play a game I have to clear my vram by either rebooting or by resetting gnome with this command: sudo systemctl restart display-manager.
I have a AMD desktop with a 9800x3d and a Radeon 6800xt. I’m using Fedora Workstation 44.
If I start a game like Gray Zone Warfare it will be stuck at 33fps. I then have to exit the game and run that command and then the FPS jumps to about 130fps. I went to play The Witcher Wild Hunt yesterday and it wouldn’t even start until I cleared the vram.
Of course running that command logs me out and was just wondering if there is another fix for this?
