Need Help in enabling Fingerprint reader in Fedora 41 Cinnamon Spin for HP Envy Laptop

System details for my HP Envy 17 j10002tx LeapMotion laptop running Fedora 41 Cinnamon Spin:

My fingerprint reader is supported as per (lifprint — Supported Devices).
On trying to enroll , the finger print reader shows no activity. Please note that i have disabled the fingerprint from Windows 10 as a precautionary step.(dual boot system on 2 separate SSDs)
