Native KDE apps (Elisa, Dragon Player) bypass default Bluetooth sink on F43

Description: On Fedora 43 (KDE Plasma), native media applications such as Elisa and Dragon Player fail to respect the system’s default audio sink. When Bluetooth headphones are connected and set as the default output, these specific applications continue routing audio through the internal laptop speakers. External applications (Zen Browser, Celluloid, VLC) function as expected and correctly follow the default sink.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Connect a Bluetooth audio device.
  2. Ensure the Bluetooth device is set as the Default Sink in Plasma Sound Settings.
  3. Launch Elisa or Dragon Player and play any media file.
  4. Observe that audio originates from the laptop speakers instead of the Bluetooth device.

Expected Behavior: All application audio streams should automatically route to the designated default sink (Bluetooth) upon connection.

System Environment:

  • OS: Fedora Linux 43
  • KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5
  • KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0
  • Qt Version: 6.10.1
  • Kernel Version: 6.18.9-200.fc43.x86_64 (64-bit)
  • Graphics Platform: Wayland
  • Sound Server: PipeWire 1.4.10
  • Hardware: Lenovo YOGA 720-15IKB (80X7)
  • Processors: Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ

Confirmed, as far as Elisa and Zen go. Zen routes to BT cans, and Elisa does not.
