You know how nice it is when you have a bunch of things open on your computer, lock your computer, come back in few minutes, launch top and your CPU utilization shows 0.00 0.01 0.01. It’s like the nicest thing! I couldn’t get this for a while, but now it’s, like, my computer works as intended.
Who doesn’t get this zero utilization when computer is locked?
Are you referring to the three values for “load average”?
Those are the load averages for 1, 5 and 15 minutes and that’s what you’d expect when you’d not really be doing anything on the system for some time.
Yes, I’m referring to load averages. It goes to zero now when I’m away for an hour. Before, I would nearly always get higher loads when there was the same stuff in the background. Anyway.
