I connect my laptop to the external monitor but It didn’t work (The monitor showed the message ‘no signal’.)
My laptop:
OS : Fedora Linux 44 (KDE Plasma Desktop Edition) x86_64

dmesg:

The monitor: AOC model 5648, which I regularly use with Raspberry Pi OS.
The question is what should I do? (Or just wait for the next release).
Update: I decided to do nothing further and simply wait.

The error suggests that the EDID from the monitor is bad.
You can get the EDID from the kernel to investigate what it might be.
In /sys/class/drm look for the HDMI connection.
Then in that folder you should find a file named edid.
You can use the edid-decode program to decode the edid.
What does it report?

This sounds to me like the amdgpu problem several people have reported is newly broken in 7.2.5 and works in 7.2.4
Not to be confused with the different amdgpu problem I currently have myself, that is broken in 7.2.4 and working in 7.1.13
Anyway, I suggest trying an earlier kernel. Assuming you don’t have one to try, see my post (for that other amdgpu problem):
I’m pretty sure kernel 7.1.13-200 will work for you (It does eliminate the need to reduce refresh rate for me). You don’t need to have kept that kernel nor even to ever have had it:
1st for safety in case things go wrong in the attempt, edit the file /etc/dnf/dnf.conf
You need root priv to edit that, kwrite requests that automatically, other editors need sudo (which you can’t use with kwrite).
In that file, I added installonly_limit=4 (2 might be enough, but I wanted more margin for error)…

edid was found in /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:08.1/0000:04:00.0/drm/card1/card1-HDMI-A-1/edid. The result of edid-decode is as follow as:

I installed Linux 7.1.3 via koji and dnf install ./kernel-*; however, it still got similar error messages to before downgrading, and the symptom still remains.

That EDID seems OK. The way forward is to report this as a bug in the amdgpu bug tracker.
Include the EDID in the bug report.
