MX Vertical Bluetooth mouse 10 sec delay before working

Hey folks,

I have a Logitech MX Vertical Bluetooth mouse.

I have it for a while. Usually, it connected and worked “immediately”. Now there seems to be a ~10-seconds delay before any mouse movement or click is picked up. This happens when I wake my laptop from suspension or turn the mouse on after it is off.

What’s funny is that, apparently, Bluetooth connects immediately. When I turn the mouse on, a notification (from blueman-applet) instantly says it is connected. Moving or clicking the mouse does not do anything for cca 10 seconds. Then everything works as expected.

I don’t know when exactly this started. Perhaps when I upgraded to a new laptop or to Fedora 41. It’s rather annoying. I use Xfce if that matters.

I tried completely unpairing/untrusting/etc. the device and adding it again. It seemed to have helped, but only for a while, and now it behaves the same way as before.

Could somebody please help me debug and mitigate this issue? I can provide more information if necessary.

Thanks,

I am not sure of it is related, but another user has recently reported an issue with a similar mouse from the same MX series.
