Mute button on usb headset not working on 39 kde spin, worked on previous workstation 39

I have a set of HyperX Cloud III headphones with mic.
On my previous machine with workstation 39 and KDE they worked perfectly but I recently rebuilt with KDE spin 39 and some new hardware (mainboard/GPU), while the headset works the “mute mic” button on the headset isn’t muting in system (the mute light turns on on the headset though).

If I mute in software it mutes as expected.

Any ideas on where I need to look to see why its not working as intended? Thanks.
