Moving boot drive to a different motherboard slot

Hello I recently bought a new gen 5.0 drive for my system to expand my storage capacity. I currently have one gen 3 nvme installed in the top slot and 1 gen 4 nvme installed in the second slot. My fedora 43 workstation installation is currently setup with btrfs and is utilizing luks. I would like to move my gen 3 drive to the bottom slot and install my new gen5 drive in the top slot to take advantage of the higher speeds offered by that drive. My question is as follows. 1. Is this a good idea or just generally not worth the hassle (if any). 2. If it is doable and worth doing what considerations would i need to take into account and what setup would be needed on fedora prior to or after doing so if any. Thank you for you time and any help you can offer in advance and have a wonderful day. Edit. I have 3 slots on my motherboard so the other 2 drives would remain installed.

That should be fine,
just go to your BIOS and ensure the correct drive is assigned as boot drive.
