I have setup single click action in Nautilus to open files and folders. In previous versions the cursor transformed into a pointing hand over an element. This seems to have changed in GNOME 43.1 on Fedora 37. Now it just stays the same, which is a bit unusual. Do you experience the same? Is there a way to restore the original behavior?
Responding a bit late, but still wondering if you found an answer elsewhere?
I was try to reproduce and I got the same behavior.
As I understood, you wanted it Windows like, when hovering over a opening opject, the pointer should change to a “pointing hand” icon?
I don’t know if you are aware of gnome-tweaks? There you could test older Icon themes to see if they also not work.
