With regards to a feature image, i’m afraid that I am not the best with graphics design. I had something like the image attached below in mind (created with with a mix of both Gemini and Gimp), it could probably do with being improved by someone more talented on the graphics front.
We can work with that, Paul. The base image would be great.
I would propose that we enlarge the text and have it overlay more of the image. I like your idea but the text will not be very legible when the image is sized for the magazine and other sites that feed off it.
@pevans I’m tentatively scheduling this for this Monday (10 August). I did very little editing aside from setting the links to open in a new window and some minor formatting changes. Over all it looked very good.
I’ve used your image as background for the feature image by resizing and enlarging the text for readability.
I will finalize scheduling tomorrow evening (Pacific time, 9 August) so if further changes are desired, please let me know by then.

The only thing I would query with the updated updated feature image is whether you wanted to keep the Gemini watermark on the image vs removal and a “feature image created by AI” blurb at the bottom of the article, but I will leave the decision on that up to you.
