Missing trashcan widget

I can’t find the trashcan widget:

How can I recover or install it? I’m using Fedora 32 (KDE Plasma).

It should be in the package plasma-desktop and be found at /usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.trash

It is there:

I can’t understand why it does not show up when I click “Add Widget”. Timer and User Switch are there.

Two things to try:

  • Create a new user. See if you have the same problem there. If you don’t, you know there is something wrong with your user config somewhere. Start by deleting all the kde/plasma related stuff in ~/.cache
  • If the problem exists in the new user, try reinstalling the package plasma-desktop
