Minicom - saved configuration file is empty

I still using this horrid old thing; when I save the configuration in a dfl file, the dfl file is blank and contains nothing except a comment line (“Machine-generated file - use setup menu in minicom to change parameters.”)

Maybe this feature has been removed from the version in the Fedora repos?

Fedora 44, minicom-2.11.1-1.fc44.x86_64

Works fine here. Running cat /etc/minirc.dfl gives

# Machine-generated file - use "minicom -s" to change parameters.
pu baudrate         9600
pu bits             8
pu parity           N
pu stopbits         1
pu rtscts           Yes
