Meet the 2026 Fedora Contributor Recognition Program Winners 🎉

Hi folks :waving_hand:

If you attended Flock (either in person or virtually) you already know who this year’s winners are. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: Still, I wanted to share them with the wider community. :sparkles:

This was the second year of the Fedora Contributor Recognition Program, organized as part of the Fedora Mentor Summit. The program highlights contributors whose efforts have made a meaningful difference across the Fedora community: from mentorship and packaging to infrastructure, documentation, events, and beyond. :rocket:

:sports_medal: Fabio Valentini (@decathorpe) – Packaging / Rust
Fabio has played a key role in Fedora’s Rust packaging efforts and has helped pioneer what distribution packaging guidelines mean for Rust in a vendored dependency era, shaping a practical and sustainable approach to Rust packaging in Fedora. He is also a member of FESCo.
