Hello people, would it be possible to download it in 2 parts of 5 GB and 5 GB? I’m aware dnf doesn’t delete downloaded packages, but how long they persist is the question…
Also, is it okay to upgrade to F44 now? No known issues, right?
If space is the issue, then the best you can manage is to ensure that you’re fully up to date with F43, which you should be doing anyway, and then performing a dnf autoclean followed by a dnf clean, then the distro upgrade.
Easiest option would be to remove large packages such as libreoffice on F43, then upgrade, then add it back in on F44 ass a single change to the system. i.e. you’d be doing things manually.
If it’s down to network issues then I believe it would be a “no” - there’s no functionality to split the packages up into chunks. If the connection fails mid-download, then it’ll just continue from where it failed on the next run,
So I got the upgrade by paying a small fee to a local internet cafe. Didn’t want to take the risk with my internet…
Upgrade went smoothly and everything works as expected 
Just FYI: 10 GBs was calculated size of unpacked files.
But system downloads their compressed versions.
So you would have consumed around 2..3GB of data.
Indicating both total sizes (uncompressed and compressed) of course would have been more helpful for mobile internet users.
If you read the first post you will see that the unpacked size of 24GiB.
The download is indeed 10GiB.
Isn’t the size of the unpacked files 24 GiB, as in (install 24 GiB, remove 19 GiB) ?
