I’ve been using hasahi on my macbook air with great pleasure for a week. but now my air won’t turn on anymore. it won’t go into recovery mode. it’s like dead. I was in Fedora and rebooted.. it never turned on again..
I read the various threads, pressed touch id quickly and pressed again.. nothing..
I tried other methods that I read. nothing. I was using it connected to the power supply.
I created a bootable with Fedora and booted with a pc… given the commands but it doesn’t go into DFU mode.
is it possible that a reboot killed my macbook?
Help me!!
Failing to turn on sound more like firmware/hardware issue maybe?
Maybe go into an Apple store and ask them why it will not turn on?
This makes no sense (maybe you consulted an AI)?. You need another Mac running a recent macOS version – see ( How to revive or restore Mac firmware)[How to revive or restore Mac firmware - Apple Support].
I read this in this link discussion.fedoraproject not AI
I have a 2008 macbook with 10.7 but it doesn’t work for apple configurator..
nearest apple store 150km away… no friends with mac…
I live in a small town, nearest Apple store 125 km away, but there is an independent “Apple Authorized Service Provider” in town. Not only can they restore firmware using the publicly available tools, they have access to Apple’s advanced diagnostics.
