Log of issues after dirty upgrading to Fedora 41

Got the Fedora barely few months ago. Except for a few commands my knowledge is limited.

Following the guide I attach few logs below, but not from sudo dmesg as it seems to contain too much info that might be exploitable.

Please advise if anything other is required.

  • Laptop freezes[?] after not being used some time, when I’m not using it the lid is usually closed.
  • Login screen might appear, sometimes I can’t type anything in - sometimes can, then most likely the screen will blank out.
  • Hard reset with the power button takes some time.-
  • on the last restart I have noticed the date is 11days back-midnight, hence the log shows 8Jan and then jumps to 17Jan
  • Noticed that bluetooth icon is gone from tray - I can connect devices

I’m on the CInnamon.

Linux version 6.12.8-200.fc41.x86_64 (mockbuild@834412738c934b548933b87c31cd91cb) (gcc (GCC) 14.2.1 20240912 (Red Hat 14.2.1-3), GNU ld version 2.43.1-5.fc41) #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Jan 2 19:26

On F40 I had an issue with screensaver. I had a lockscreen enabled. When I was attaching the laptop to the second screen

  • one screen would display a login screen
  • second screen would display a view of the screen before the lock action - so all the documents etc - I could not interact with it tho
  • login screen would be sometimes displayed on the screen nr2

where should I start?

Start with giving us the output of inxi -Fzxx

This seems to indicate that potentially the bios date/time is set incorrectly and that it is corrected when the system connects to the internet and ntp updates the date/time.

It may be that the battery on the motherboard is dying and the time is not being kept properly in the hardware.

thanks for the reply

the output is as follows
