Location access to guest VMs in gnome boxes

Please let me know if it is possible to pass location access from host to guest VMs in gnome boxes.

Actually, I know how to share folders between host and guest in gnome-boxes, using spice-webdav. Here, I’d like to know if we can pass the location details from host to guest VM.

I’m assuming you mean location in the sense of geolocation, not location in the sense of a filesystem path.

Unless you use a USB GPS tracker, the location is usually derived from the IP address issued by the ISP or CGNAT if any.

Location services running on the host cannot pass data to the guests, that’s why guests should run their own location services if they need it.

However since the guest IPs are masqueraded behind the host IP by default, they should basically inherit the same location.

Sorry for the confusion. Yep, I meant the geolocation access or passing from host to guest VM.

Sure, the guest should run their own location services.
