Issue:
I flip my laptop to use with my pen in TABLET MODE. It turns off keyboard and works fine.
But when i flip it back in to LAPTOP MODE, nothing happens so im stuck on TABLET MODE, unable to use my keyboard.
I also notice that theres no autorotate while in TABLET MODE.
The only way to get back into laptop mode and gain control of my keyboard is to suspend by closing the lid and logging back in.
Note:
I tested tablet mode and laptop mode transitions on windows and it works just fine so i know its not a hardware issue. Tested on Fedora workstation and had the same issue though.
Perhaps Fedora/GNOME is not working properly?
The feature worked flawlessly when i used another laptop, same model, before returning it and getting a better deal somewhere else a month later. So im guessing some update broke the feature sometime in between.
Anyone know of a fix?
Im still learning linux, details would be appreciated
If you think an update broke the functionality, you can roll back to a previous deployment, from the time it worked. That way you could find out if it’s a regression indeed, and maybe file a bug.
See the docs for permanent roll-backs. When pulling the ostree metadata, the depth flag should be used with a higher count, in order to obtain older commits.
I have exactly the same issue - it seems that has been a regression regarding this feature, cause the lenovo forums state that it has been working since 6.15 kernel.
Same here. The screen also isn’t auto rotating when I flip the screen into tablet mode. It does recognize that the screen was flipped, but the display orientation doesn’t change.
