Basically, my laptop doesnt want to charge on any Fedora spin whatsoever (exception being i3). Everything works fine on Windows 11, which im dual booting alongside current Fedora KDE 43. I have installed Workbench (accidental), i3, Budgie, Cosmic and finally came back to KDE. Not on a single one of those let my laptop charge. (Except when i was in a Live version of KDE i think)
I went through every single thread i could find on similiar problems and no solution was working. This is probably due to battery conservation that i toggled while being in Workstation, but toggling it in other DEs gave no result. Obviously, the laptop charges fine when turned off.
battery limits are put at 95 but redacting them to 100 is useless. The only POSSIBLE solution i saw was turning off that battery conservation, almost quote “it does wonky thigs to BIOS/UEFI settings and messes with charging”, but as previously said, i did try turning it off through terminal.
Currently my laptop is at 10% and still does not charge, it didnt even when it hit 0 on Cosmic and Budgie.
