Lenovo Ideapad Fails to boot without Power Plugged

Hi,

I am using Fedora 44 KDE Plasma.

My laptop won’t boot if I boot on battery. I shows the fedora logo then goes black.

If I force poweroff and plugin to the power then it boots normally.

My Laptop specs

Lenovo Ideapad flex 5
CPU: RYZEN 7 7000 series
Grahpics Card: AMD Radeon

Unplug power.

Get to grub, hit e on the kernel you want to start and remove the rhgb & quiet parameters. Press F10 to boot.

You can either take a screenshot showing where it fails on battery power, or assuming it gets far enough to start writing messages to the journal, you can shut it down, boot on power and post the relevant part of journalctl -b -1 as pre-formatted text.

The latter would be preferable, as it gives more information, but depending on where the boot process grinds to a halt, you may be forced to posting a screenshot of the boot messages. bonus points if it’s in focus!
