So I recently installed fedora 44 KDE to a new Lenovo Idea pad slim 5 16AGP11 and so far everything has been working great except for the internal microphone.
This has been weird since the mic is detected it even shows up in the plasma sound configuration tools and lets me mess with its setting but whenever I try to test it there is just a loud pop sound when it starts and then science no other audio is picked up.
Using a usb mic or a Bluetooth mic works just fine and the internal mic does appear to work on windows and linux mint so the actual hardware should not be damaged at all and should have the potential to work normally. To make things even stranger when I mess with the setting and try to switch over to a pro audio profile in KDE the mic actually does pick up audio but it is extremely quiet and never goes above 5% even when I try to go into the setting and make it 3x as sensitive vs what its normal max should be.
I have tried updating for a while and am currently on Kernel Version 7.1.4-204.fc44.x86_64
To my knowledge I have not done anything strange to the settings and for the most part it should be pretty close to a fresh install only installing a couple programs like a web browser and zoom.
