Legion 5 randomly reboots on F43
Hey, kinda stuck here. My Fedora 43 KDE randomly just restarts. It’s not a panic or a freeze, just a blink and i’m back at the ssd password login screen. Like someone hit the reset button.
Been happening for about two months now so it’s not some recent kernel update. No pattern i can find - sometimes when im working, sometimes when the laptop is just sitting on the desk. Few times a day.
On Windows (dualboot) i can game for hours and nothing, so hardware is probably fine.
Machine is Legion 5, Ryzen 7 5800H + RTX 3060, 32 gigs of ram, root on LUKS. KDE on Wayland, nvidia from RPM Fusion (open kernel module).
Nothing useful in journal from previous boot. Log just ends mid-sentence, no shutdown, nothing. Only thing that keeps showing up across boots is this:
ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [\_SB.PCI0.PB2], AE_NOT_FOUND
But ive been seeing this since install so no idea if its related.
Temps are fine, nothing overheating.
Anyone run into something similar on a Legion? Happy to provide more logs if needed. Otherwise im really enjoying Fedora, this is the only thing thats bugging me.
Thanks
Adalbert
