LDAC Bluetooth sounds better on HP OmniBook than ThinkPad, or just placebo

My daily driver headphones are the Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds. Initially, I had it in AAC because (a) I’m hesitant to download apps and (b) I’m not an audio expert.

But Sony’s phone app enabled LDAC. That combined with Spotify Lossless meant really good audio quality. Earlier, the audio was comparable to cheapo Sol Republic earbuds, and Sol isn’t even a reputed audio brand.

I don’t know if it’s placebo, but Bluetooth audio on my HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14-fh000 sounds better than my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen11.

The OmniBook has a newer Intel CPU: Ultra 7 258V vs i7-1365U, but both run Fedora 43 and GNOME 49 with the same kernel.

Is the Bluetooth audio really better on a newer laptop, even on the same headphones. I know Bluetooth audio sounds better on my MacBook, but Apple does optimization and lacks LDAC.
