Laptop runs slow when not plugged in after booting

Whenever i boot laptop without plugged into power the ‘laptop runs slow and is unresponsive’. But when i ‘plug in my AC adapter it works smooth’, and when i remove the AC adapter it works smooth.

The issue only happens when I boot without connecting to an AC adapter.

My laptop is Asus vivobook M6500QH

AMD Ryzen 7 5700
16 GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 1650 Max-Q

It says this is the solution but what did you figure out in here?

I didn’t, not sure what happened there. . .

Is your system up to date?

Yes, It is upto date. Also is there a way to send videos in here?

No, but you can paste the link to the hosting site here, like Youtube, Mega, or others.

Is your power profile set to performance in Settings ?

It’s on balanced right now

Set it to performance, see if the problem persists.

The problem still persists. when poweroffed

I saw your video, and I think this is becaue it’s using the AMD GPU for the desktop, which is normal. Could you test this, Log out of your Gnome Session, and Log in with Gnome on Xorg.

You do this by clicking on the gear wheel and choosing the option to run on XOrg. If you do not have it, there could be other things to try.
