I recently purchased a HP Omnibook X Flip 14, a 2-in-1 convertible laptop with an MPP compatible screen and included stylus with an Intel core ultra 7 256v
Fedora Linux 44 with the KDE Plasma desktop works relatively flawlessly, except from the stylus. The touchscreen works really well, and whilst the stylus is detected and technically works, it stutters a lot, and has the occasional side effect of disabling the touchscreen if used for long enough
I’ve tested other linux distros, namely Zorin OS 18.1 with the gnome desktop, and the issue persists there too.
Running sudo dmesg shows that after using the stylus, the logs are filled with the error:
i2c_hid_acpi i2c-ELAN2514:00: i2c_hid_get_input: incomplete report (67/5631)
Is there anything I can do to fix the laggy stylus? Or even to stop the touchscreen from crashing?
