Krdpserver killed by SIGABRT? - Fedora 43 KDE RDP/Remote Desktop 6.6.3

Fresh install of Fedora 43, fully updated, running KDE Plasma 6.6.3

First question: Can remote desktop server not run before my user logs in? I noticed the checkbox to Start at login - but how would I log into a system that has been restarted or hasn’t been logged into yet? Trying to remote into my office PC from home.

Second question: I seem to be getting the error in the subject line, preventing remoting in from working at all…

Last question: When it does seem to ‘connect’, it just flashes for a second and then goes back to the Windows Remote Desktop Connection client asking to enter the hostname of the PC to connect to.

EDIT: Also, when I hit the ‘Report’ button it brings up a window that says Generating backtrace, but it just spins in a circle forever and never allows me to hit the > Forward button since it is greyed out.

I was finally able to get in after finding this post: Troubleshooting KRDP: A Guide to Connecting from Windows Native RDP Clients - General - KDE Discuss

In particular, I needed this part of it (didn’t need to do the other things):

Credential Handling

KRDP can be sensitive to how credentials are passed.

Enter your Username in the client, but do not save the password initially.

Ensure “Allow me to save credentials” is checked.

Manually enter the password only when the Windows security pop-up appears during the connection attempt.
