Koji.rpmfusion.org login required

When I go to koji.rpmfusion.org there’s now a login popup which didn’t used to exist.

I haven’t tried to access the site for probably a year… is a login now required to search/download?

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a way to create a login.

Do you have a specific reason to go to koji?

If you want to get packages from RPMFusion, install the repos

If you want to browse the site to view packages or find instructions go to

Why do you care why someone wants access to koji? How do you access updates-candidate or older versions, etc?

@forbyta I think login/ pw has been activated to keep damn AI scrapers away. Take a look at their bugzilla.

@MatH The reason I want to go to koji is because they have older nvidia drivers available that can be downloaded as .rpm files. Or at least they did the last time I looked, which as I said was about a year ago.

rpmfusion only contains the drivers currently available from the repo. For the nvidia drivers, which is what I’m interested in, that means 580.95.05 is the only one available.

I’ve been trying to figure out when this problem started, so I was hoping I’d be able to find a driver older than 580.95.05… maybe something in the 575 or 570 range.

@Mark Thanks. I assume you mean if I open a new account on bugzilla.rpmfusion.org that will give me access to koji.rpmfusion.org?

PS. Unrelated to the current question. It seems like this forum page has changed a little since I last used it. Specifically, when composing a message there used to be a way to view a preview of the message before posting it. Has that been removed? Or am I just not seeing how to do it? Or quite possibly, I’m just misremembering and I’ve seen that feature on some other completely unrelated forum.

You have probably found it already, but the RPM Fusion driver install guide is at Making sure you're not a bot! where it links to Appendix A. Supported NVIDIA GPU Products and says that your laptop RTX3080 is supported by the current driver.

If you do want to investigate the manual rpms from rpmfusion the pw and uzernam is both rpmfusion

The preview window is still available on Discourse, it is hidden on mobile view and if your window is small or if the preview button has been toggled.

With a recent update of Discourse, the preview can be toggled with the leftmost icon from the editing toolbar:

No, you want to search for a bug with a “very similar” issue. Isn’t that obvious?

ah ok MatH already posted the secret words

BTW: you don’t have to give a reason. It’s nobody’s business. I find such questions unnecessary and pointless.

When I saw your strong reaction to MatH’s question, I was a bit puzzled. I often ask the same question because, from my experience, users may often ask for A while they are really interested in B (and they think A will get them B). So, when a user’s request seems unusual to me, I also try to figure out if the request is truly their goal or if they are trying to accomplish something else.

So, yes, nobody has to answer the question. But I wouldn’t call the question unnecessary and pointless, it helps me or others help them.

Yes, I also ask similar question when I notice that the user is getting confused or has made an error in their thinking. But this was not the case here, IMHO. Someone wanted to access a page. It could have been that someone just wanted to browse the site.

I found the question completely inappropriate in this case. I am probably being unfair to @theprogram here (sorry!) , but that is how it came across.

@theprogram Thanks for the info, I was able to find the older drivers on koji.

@tqcharm Thanks for pointing out the preview toggle… I completely missed it.

@anotheruser Thanks for the um… maybe perhaps too subtle login info hint. :slightly_smiling_face:

@grumpey Thanks for clarifying the um… maybe perhaps too subtle login info hint. :slightly_smiling_face:

@l-c-g, @anotheruser With regards to @theprogram wondering why I wanted access. No worries… I didn’t take offense. And it gave me the opportunity to provide a subtle hint towards the reason I wanted access… hoping perhaps someone had some clues how to fix it… maybe… and by subtle… I mean… ----->>>>>THIS PROBLEM<<<<<----- :slightly_smiling_face:

In all fairness… At this point, I’m pretty sure THIS PROBLEM is an NVIDIA problem and plan to post over there once I’ve done a bit more testing and data gathering.
