I have yesterday installed from .iso file the version 43 of Fedora Design Suite and added the additional desktops Cinnamon and Plasma, by default Design Suite uses Gnome. I guess the problem I am having is related to Wayland on the Cinnamon Desktop, I believe it is experimental at this point. All kinds of strange input errors are occurring when pressing the keyboard, the upper case does not work using shift, instead you need to press shift and caps lock together, another is the ; key, same output using shift key when you should get : and all other kinds of mishaps. When going into the Gnome desktop or Plasma the keyboard functions properly. Is there some kind of correction for this? If not at least this topic might draw attention to a problem that needs correcting?
I’m not quite sure what or how this happened yet for some reason (a good thing) the problem with the keyboard has disappeared and now works correctly. Had this problem with at least three different sessions on the Cinnamon desktop where the desktop was shut down several times and restarted.
Cinnamon doesn’t have any keyboard control under wayland (it defaults to US keyboard) , these settings are X only.
I have a copr with cinnamon git that has wayland keyboard support.
