Kernel 6.4.4 - imac bluetooth module no longer works

an iMac15,1 previously on 6.3.12 had bluetooth working no problem. Had been through dozens of kernel updates ranging back to fedora 36.

following the update today to kernel 6.4.4, the bluetooth module is no longer detected.

If you boot to the 6.3 kernel does the blue tooth work again?
If so you could report the problem on the fedora kernel bugzilla.

I did, it does, I will
What other useful info, asides from lspci, should I attach?

edit: reported

One should report the kernel where it works, the kernel where it does not, and the driver packages involved. – probably broadcom-wl – as well as what was done just prior to the failure.

Since broadcom-wl comes from rpmfusion it may be a simple case of the driver not yet being updated for the newer kernel.

This is no longer an issue with kernel 6.4.7
