Keep loosing wifi connection

weird problem… at home my laptop with fedora 41 keeps loosing wifi connection, so i have to turn it on and off. But when i am at work, there is no problem. First i thought it was the wifi module that was not supported properly, so i found another laptop with a diffrent module but the problem is still there…

My wifi at home is a unifi ap, i dont know if that is a problem? When i was running fedora 40, there were no problems until after a kernel update made wifi not work at all…

Also if i use a live usb there does not seem to be a problem?

Me too, WiFi on fedora 40 on a recycled laptop worked fine with the UniFi Dream Machine and UniFi WiFi access points. Since moving to f41 I’m loosing WiFi randomly, narrowing the circumstances hasn’t yet been possible. In my case, a reboot fixes it the fastest. I have a “feeling” that it is worse when in Settings, Power Mode “Power Save”, maybe better in “Balanced” and “Performance”. Just an idea.

Mine is in balanced mode, that makes no diffrence here. Also i just disable wifi and enable it again, and it usalyu works within 30 sec… Its just impossible to work properly through the work vpn when wifi keeps dying.

I think I’m going to try and find a USB dongle, from for example TP-Link. I’ve used this solution on an older MacBook to jump from a 300 to 1200 WiFi speed. This could be a good workaround until this gets maybe fixed. I have a “déjà vu feeling” that this is a problem I’ve had with an earlier version of fedora, but not, as far as remember in f40. Maybe I’ll try and travel back to f40.
