Kdenlive shows gray in the Monitors

I’m using Kdenlive on Fedora KDE Plasma, and for some reason, both the Clip Monitor and Project Monitor are gray:

This happens both in the latest version and in 25.12.3, and in AppImage, Flatpak and the Fedora RPM. This issue does not occur in other distros (or at least not on Kubuntu where I checked). How can I troubleshoot this?

See: https://kdenlive.org/bug-reports/, which includes ways to look for existing bugs and fixes, and is the most effective way to get the right people looking at your issue.

Already did. They told me to go here because it’s distro-specific.

This seemed to work on my end:

sudo dnf install kf5-kirigami2

Reported they were installed, but I re-installed them.

If No still, debug info:

Unfortunately reinstalling kf5-kirigami2 did not fix the issue.

The output of gdb is posted here.

I thought it might be the Appimage, but both (RPM and Appimage) render correctly on my end

Just tried Flatpak again, still doesn’t work.

So I found a similar bug on KDE’s Bugzilla, and that was caused by the rendering backend being set to Software. In my case it’s set to Automatic, and no change there fixed the issue with Kdenlive.
