When the KDE Plasma can be upgraded to 5.20?
The current version is not good support the Wayland. The new version includes plenty of changes for Wayland. If this can be applied to the Fedora ASAP, it will be a big improvement.

It’s a work in progress. Update FEDORA-2020-4057c26351 adds KDE Frameworks 5.75 to Fedora 33, which is the main blocker for starting Plasma 5.20 work. I believe Plasma 5.20 is already in Fedora Rawhide.

Plasma 5.20 was pushed to testing today for F33: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-d700fa11cf

I would recommend you avoid it for the time being. It causes a black screen when starting Plasma Wayland. I’ve opened a bug report here and gave negative karma: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1897717

Update 11/16/2020: The black screen issue seems to be limited to using Radeon Graphics in conjunction with the SDDM display manager with Wayland. One quick workaround if you have a Radeon card would be to use the GDM display manager instead of SDDM. If you keep that in mind, you should be good to go with testing. Please report any issues to bugzilla - this will help the effort to identify and correct issues so Wayland can become the default in KDE Fedora.

If you are just wanting to use X11, it seems to work fine regardless of displaymanager or graphics card.

This is great.
I’m using Plasma 5.19 + Wayland now, there is an issue but workable, I will try the 5.20. Hope everything will work for me.
