KDE Plasma 6.6.5 and Fedora Plans?

Hi!

Considering the KDE Update Topic of late, I am only asking about (not implying, not wanting to start a 1,000 comment thread) Fedora’s kde-team for this release? Are there plans to do this Bugfix release for Fedora?

Also, if there’s somewhere else I should go for me to make myself aware of Fedora KDE plans, point me there, please. I ask here because I don’t where else to ask or find out what the plans are (or if there are any plans).

Thanks!

I don’t see a build yet but expect the kde folks will do one soon. You can check here for kwin for example Making sure you're not a bot!

I can see from some messages yesterday in the Fedora KDE Matrix room that the maintainers are starting to work on 6.6.5.

Yep, I have been checking koji/bohdi/src for changes…

Thanks. What’s a “Matrix room”?

I was asking because it seemed like 6.6.5 could be or might be skipped because I saw that 6.7 beta is out.. and I know it’s a lot of effort to roll updates…

Thanks @barryascott @pg-tips !

I’m already seeing fc45 packages for KDE 6.6.5 in Koji, so fc44 should be anytime now.

It’s a chat platform used by many Fedora teams:

Right! We’ve got a month until KDE officially releases Plasma 6.7 (official release date 16th June, so it should likely be in Fedora within a few days of that), so it’s nice to also get 6.6.5 imminently.

KDE 6.6.5 has hit Fedora 44 in the “updates” repo as of yesterday (May 16)
