I've been frustrated with making slide presentations lately; any tips?

I’ve been alternating between LibreOffice Impress & OnlyOffice Desktop Editors lately and keep finding problems that push me toward one or the other depending on what features I need/want to be not broken at the time.

Examples (OnlyOffice):

Videos do not play in presentation
Grow/Shrink Animation cannot be configured
Updating to version 8.3.0 causes crashing on application startup (I now have OnlyOffice Desktop Editors version locked to 8.2.22)

Examples (LibreOffice):

LibreOffice Impress presents invisible slideshow while using fractional scaling
Cannot delete default text boxes in Impress master slides

So far, it seems LibreOffice seems somewhat more reliable, but OnlyOffice grants me a more pleasant workflow. What do you all use, and how (if at all) do you work around issues like these?

Looks like the invisible slide bug is fixed and what I thought was a bug in the master slide view was actually a skill issue.

Guess I’m going with LibreOffice Impress moving forward, and I should probably spend more time with the documentation.
