Issues with Wifi Asus PCE-BE6500

ENVIRONMENT:

  • OS: Fedora Linux (KDE Plasma) 44
  • Kernel: 7.17-7.10
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500
  • Network Controller: MT7925
  • Kernel driver in use: mt7925e

So i often have issues with the Connection dropping without disconnecting and then i always have to reconnect before it starts working again and im open to fixes, the Chipset is the mt7925 on the card.

And what not.

Around the disconnect even can you send the output of

sudo dmesg | tail -50

Also send output of

lspci -nnk | grep -A3 -i network

How often does this issue occur?

I got it fixed on reddit cause someone told me 7.2 fixed it so for now i have to be on endeavouros till fedora gets kernel 7.2

It is not unusual for WiFi to break with newer kernels and fixes are slow to come. Often fixes are back-ported from even newer kernels. I find it important to have a USB WiFi dongle to use while waiting for fixes to appear.
