Issues with updating libheif

I am on a fedora 44 system in QubesOS and when attempting to perform the normal update process via the automatic updater I get the following errors:

Nothing to do.

I checked this post already but didn’t understand what to do. Does anyone understand and can explain to me simply what is wrong and what I can do?

See:

This will be fixed by the rpmfusion update scheduled for today.

Unfortunately, the fedora maintainer went updating the libheif without coordination, so this kind of issue appears from time to time, specially with complementary freeworld packages.

This should fix it (but only by the end of the day):
sudo dnf update --refresh

I kept getting that error repeatedly so today I did a sudo dnf rm libheif-freeworld as suggested in a different thread and now the update worked. Am I missing anything by not having that libheif-freeworld?

Only if some video doesn’t work anymore.

I just installed the new libheif-freeworld.

No, libheif is for “images” not video. So basically you need “dnf install @multimedia”

It has - thank you.
