Issues with KDE Overview After Updating to xwaylandvideobridge-0.3.0-1.fc39

Hello,

I recently updated to xwaylandvideobridge-0.3.0-1.fc39 and noticed that KDE Plasma’s overview is showing an window after the update. I cannot select or close the window.

Rolling back to the previous version (xwaylandvideobridge-0.2-1.fc39) resolves the issue. I’m curious if anyone else has encountered a similar issue with KDE Plasma overview after updating to 0.3.0-1.fc39. Are there known fixes or workarounds for this issue without reverting to an older version of xwaylandvideobridge?

Any advice on resolving this issue are greatly appreciated.

  • The service causing the issue, app-org.kde.xwaylandvideobridge@autostart.service, was generated from org.kde.xwaylandvideobridge.desktop in the /etc/xdg/autostart directory.
  • The file does not exist in 0.2-1 version.
  • As a temporary measure, I copied the .desktop file to a backup location and then removed the original file from /etc/xdg/autostart/.
  • This stopped the automatic startup of the xwaylandvideobridge process and the non-existing window.

I’m still confused why it cause the issue.
