Issues installing Fedora via Ventoy

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Over the last several days I’ve been trying to mess around again with Linux on a live USB. I am slowly making the move over to Linux completely. My laptop is my Linux workhouse using Fedora KDE Plasma. However, whenever I’m trying to boot into my usb on my desktop (Intel 14700K, Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super, and ProArt Z790 motherboard) I keep getting into an issue where I keep getting errors.

Example of errors:
Out of memory
Kernel needs to boot first

I made sure to disable secureboot, CSM, and other settings. Funnily enough, I was able to get Linux running no problem on my desktop a year or so ago. It just won’t take now. I do not know what is going on. I did recently update my motherboards bios, so would I just need to wait until something on the Linux end is updated? I’ve been trying every combination of settings on my motherboard and nothing.

I would appreciate and feedback.
Thank you.

I have had a problem recently with Fedora 44 KDE failing to boot with Ventoy where previously Fedora 43 KDE booted with no problem, I had to use Media Writer to write it to a USB to work.

I’m not having luck with media writer either., I feel like the answer is very simple but it’s lost to me

Which ventoy version are you using? For me, ventoy-1.1.17 failed on my oldest system (iMac14,2), but did work on two much newer Dell systems. Previous ventoy versions have worked in the iMac.

Same version you are using! Ventoy 1.1.7. I even used Fedora Media Writer and to no avail

Ive had an issue in the past with fedora and bazzite where it seems the iso got corrupted somehow and i had similar problems to what you are seeing deleting the iso and redownloading it again then placing it back on my ventoy drive solved the issue for me. Also i had a system i installed bazzite on once that wouldnt boot from my ventoy usb so i installed ventoy on a different usb stick and then it worked without issue.
