Issue with recent installation of KDE: Flickering and sometimes major graphical errors

I downgraded my drivers to 580 to see if that would solve the issue
My GPU is a 2080 Ti nvidia
After putting in the "dnf list installed ‘nvidia’ " this is what I was shown alakmod-nvidia-580xx.x86_64 3:580.159.04-1.fc44 rpmfusion-nonfree-upda

. Any ideas to solve the flickering?

The RTX 2050 is properly supported by the 595.80 driver so it was not required to downgrade the driver.

Please explain more about the flickering.
I see you are on KDE and it may be related to a recent upgrade of plasma to the 6.7 version. Several users have had various issues with that upgrade.

Maybe one of the posts found with a search for plasma 6.7 will assist in determining the cause.

To answer your question from time to time lines of pixels flicker on the screen, sometimes they go away, and sometimes they cause my entire screen to be messed up and I will have to shut down the pc manually. Also if you can could you give me the commands to upgrade the driver version back to 595.80?

Since you installed the 580xx version of the driver from rpmfusion the command should be
sudo dnf swap akmod-nvidia-580xx akmod-nvidia --allowerasing.
That should replace all the 580xx packages with the appropriate 595 version.
