I’ve noticed an issue with my system’s RAM usage. I have 8GB of RAM installed on my machine, but only 6GB seems to be available or usable, as shown in the system monitor (screenshot attached for reference).
My system is running Fedora.
I’ve verified this issue through the “Resources” tab in the system monitor.
Could this be due to some reserved memory for hardware, or is it a configuration problem? Any advice on how to diagnose or fix this issue would be greatly appreciated!

It’s surely being used for VRAM (video RAM). This is completely normal when using integrated graphics. You can reduce VRAM to free up extra RAM if need be, but this will reduce graphics performance and 2 GB is really not very much, so I would leave it alone.
