Issue with 2nd display after unlocking

Hello,

I have an issue when I unlock my laptop the second display is still detected but No-SIgnal is displayed on the 2nd screen. It works once I reboot my laptop until it gets locked.

Is there a way to wake up the hdmi port? This is a Lenovo P51 - if that helps.

Typing e when booting fixed this? Can I make the change permanent?

Update: After unlocking via lock screen; it seems that the display only works on the main laptop and not the extrenel monitor until after a full power off again
