Is there a way to install the VMWare tools on FCOS?

I’m installing a Fedora CoreOS VM on VMware using the OVAs provided, as is suggested here. However, the OVAs don’t appear to have VMWare tools installed which means that VMWare isn’t able to get information from the VMs, such as IP Address, and it loses the ability to shutdown the VM.

Is there a way to install the VMWare tools on the VM on boot or have them pre-installed in the OVA? The original CoreOS appeared to have them pre-installed and that worked well
