Is there a reason why snapshots wont show on boot

Well it would be really nice to see snapshots on boot 3-5 latest. Have hard times to revert back since i can only access to bios, but cant see snapshots when testing F41 and when it brakes i loose basically everything terminals, code editors i had as backup terminal usage, cant download anything since nautilus brakes, cant get any updates since no terminal or software center opens

It would be nice to have latest snapshots to show on boot for easier and faster rollback

One method is to reboot within 2 minutes, so the grub-boot-success.timer will not mark the current boot as successful, and rollback snapshots will be displayed on the next startup.

so there is no visible snapshots and if something goes bad you have about 2 minutes to try reboot to rollback

not good

I assume you are using an atomic desktop when asking about snapshots.

Please add the appropriate tags to this post so we know what fedora version and spin is in use.

why i need to add tags…
all fedora products are using BTRFS and that has snapshots not only on atomic ones

There is enough variation in fedora spins that tags are sometimes critical.
IoT & Server use an xfs file system.
Ext4 is still around
BTRFS is the new kid on the block
Wayland is the default on most spins
X11 is still very prevalent
Gnome & KDE and i3 are all optional desktops.
There are atomic spins as well as many standard rpm based spins
Fedora 39, 40, and now 41 are potentially involved

Tags help to identify your particular config and area of concern so those who are watching for those markers are notified and have a chance to chime in with suggestions. They also avoid potentially incorrect assumptions when the details are not fully explained.

In short Tags are helpful to all of us

Correct, but not on all spins, where the desktop environment does not yet support wayland.

So i have been running F40 workstation and atomics with F41 beta same variations.

I can see only 2 boot options on boot on atomics, no idea how to get more to showup… Lets say i want to boot older than previous snapshot?

Workstation has BTRFS, but does it have sbapper enabled? If not would be really nice to have by default

Sorry if i havent been more clearer on thia have been testing lot past week openSUSE and Fedora
