Is microdnf still a thing?

There is a post here where microdnf is referenced:

Where microdnf is listed for F40 in koji, it wasn’t propagated to bodhi for inclusion in the F40 repository. Was this intentional or an oversight?

Note that since Fedora 38, dnf5 has replaced microdnf. See the change page for details: Changes/MajorUpgradeOfMicrodnf - Fedora Project Wiki. However, that page claims that microdnf will remain available, so I don’t know what is going on there. At least you could check if dnf5 works for what you are trying to do.

That wiki says at the very end:

In Fedora 38, DNF5 replaces Microdnf. Main features of DNF5:

So really, microdnf was due to the larger resources used by the old dnf 4, dnf5 solved the problems microdnf was to solve. So the higher parts of the wiki should probably be updated to make it clear microdnf is OBE (obsolete by events) and replaced by dnf5
