I am experiencing an issue with the internal microphone on my HP Laptop 15-ef2xxx running Fedora 44.
System information:

Kernel: 7.0.11-200.fc44.x86_64

Audio codec: Realtek ALC236
-
AMD Ryzen platform
Problem:

Speakers work correctly.

The internal microphone is detected by the system but does not capture my voice.

WhatsApp Web and browser applications report that no microphone is available.

Audio recordings contain only noise/interference instead of voice.
What I have checked:

PipeWire detects an audio source.

ALSA detects the codec as Realtek ALC236.

Capture volume and microphone boost are enabled.

The microphone worked correctly in the past.

I removed old custom audio configurations such as hda-jack-retask and dmic_disable settings.
