Intel BE9300 WiFi 7 card is not working

I recently installed a TP-Link Archer TBE552E (Intel BE9300 WiFi 7) card in my system, but I’m having several issues:

System specs:

  • CPU: AMD (Matisse)
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060
  • Current kernel: 6.12.11-200.fc41.x86_64
  • OS: Fedora 41

Issues:

  1. The WiFi card is not being detected in lspci output
  2. I tried installing the Rawhide kernel but the installation seems unsuccessful

Current kernel versions installed:
kernel-6.12.8-200.fc41.x86_64
kernel-6.12.10-200.fc41.x86_64

I need help with:

  1. Getting the WiFi card detected
  2. Successfully installing a newer kernel that might support this hardware

Can anyone help guide me through this process?

Have you checked if Intel has added support for that hardware?

My observation is that fedora follows upstream projects closely. If upstream does not have what you need then working with upstream will be where you can initiate change. The hardware manufacturer (TP-Link) would also be a possible touch point.

Personnally I take the time and put in the effort to evaluate linux support in the hardware I purchase before placing the order. I do make mistakes on occasion though.

Yeah i gave up trying to fix it when i read that the device support is only for windows 11.

lspci should show all PCIe devices connected. It shouldn’t matter whether the kernel supports it. So if lspci doesn’t show it it seems more likely to be not connected correctly or a bad card.

On windows it works just fine. I’ll show you the output of lspci maybe you are more lucky than me in finding it

On Windows, can you confirm what chip is used on that card? I suspect this is it. I do see some complaints on google about no Linux drivers for this chip, so once you’ve confirmed which chip it has you can check on drivers for it.

I’ve looked on windows, in device manager, and i can confirm 100% that that’s the chipset.
