Installing Fedora On AMD Ryzen 3 3250u Laptop

When i try install Fedora 43 it freezes. i have Disabled: Fast-Boot & Secure-boot is there a work around for this laptop?

That is a CPU from 2020, still very recent. There should be no workarounds required.

You could try installing with a different USB drive or try using the Everything Netinstaller.

I’ve installed Mint then Fedora only because Mint has a compatibility mode and i had to make some changes in my BIOS that i want to share.

Model: Aspire-A315-23

Once your inside BIOS menu tap to Advanced then go to Storage Device Configuration

Then in Storage Device Configuration is Disabled HDD1 and Enabled HDD0
you see HDD1 has window installed which is preventing me from installing Linux savvy…

Just make sure you have Fast-Boot and Secure-Boot Disabled.
Fast-Boot you’ll find in the Main tab in the BIOS menu

I had to use and external Solid state drive USB.

This worked with-out me using Everything Netinstaller.

Now keep in mind i did the work before you answered my question.
So if i get a laptop that is give me a similar problem i will use Everything Netinstaller because I’ve never used it before.

PS: I hope this helps anyone else.

Thank MatH !!
