Installing DaVince Resolve Fedora 30

After installing the DaVinci Resolve 16 when it runs, the message

DaVinci Resolve could not find any OpenCL capable GPU.

How can I solve this problem?
My machine is a Lenovo Legion Y530.

Tx for any help

How did you install Resolve, and what’s your GPU?

I downloaded the program from the DaVinci Resolve website (DaVinci_Resolve_16.1b3_Linux.zip), decompressed the file, changed permissions to executable, and installed the program with sh ./DaVinci_Resolve_16.1b3_Linux.

The GPU is NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050, 2 GB GDDR5

Nobody using DaVinci Resolve on Fedora 30?

I just installed it. You have to install the proprietary drivers and blacklist Nouveau.

Print out the instructions or have them on your phone as half way through the process you will have to work without a gui (because you disable the graphics card).

After that just keep googling any missing libraries that come up. MOstly the guides for Centos 7 work though.

I have had one issue which is more general and also affects Autodesk Maya: the software can only see my system disk and not the larger HDD which is also attached. Let me know how you get on and if you encounter a similar issue.

Try enabling rpmfusion and then installing the NVIDIA driver from there.
