i have tried the desktop shortcut as demonstrated in the video, (which is in full 1080p for me i don’t know what you’re talking about,) as i have stated mamy times when i double click on the desktop shortcut it shows the bouncing loading thing under the cursor for like 10 seconds and during thar time an input sudo password prompt will appear for 0.1 seconds, (this is shown in thr video twice, at the beginning of it i try the desktop shortcut, then i try running it through the terminal, then i try the shortcut again with system Monitor open to show that it opens in the background and takes up some ram whilst it’s doing the bouncing animation)
You will have to look in the logs to find something that will help us understand the issue. You should also provide the inxi -Fzxx
output so we understand your hardware configuration. I’m guessing the the LHDB probes for Fedora 40 were done on systems upgraded over several versions. It is not unusual to find newer kernels and related tools have inadvertently introduced problems for older hardware. They may get fixed or there may be good reasons (e.g., security) to drop support for older hardware.
