So there is problem with Fedora 44 KDE, in installation where you select Luks drive encryption with password. When you are entering password for it with default keyboard (us) password will not be written as you typed. If you type $ or # for example there will be numbers. To solve this issue I needed to go back in installer to language selection and then remove and add again US keyboard. With this change I was able to type my Luks password as I wanted. FIrst time I miss this and was unable to boot to fresh installed system. Error was something like disk with uuid xy was not found.
Can you report this as a Fedora bug please?
@honza-v the screen where the encryption password is written shows the keyboard layout being used. Did you have something else than US there?
Note that for KDE live ISO geolocation is enabled, so your keyboard will be pre-selected based on that.
